Refund Policy
At StoryMap, each piece is made with care and custom-designed to reflect your journey. Because of the personalized nature of our products and the unlimited design revisions we offer before shipping, we are unable to offer refunds once a custom map design has been shipped.
Damages and issues
We only offer refunds or replacements for items that arrive damaged. If your map arrives with damage, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the packaging and item. we'll do our best to make it right.
Email us at storymap@thestorymap.com with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photos of the damage
We’ll review your request and provide next steps. If approved, we’ll either reprint your map at no cost or issue a full refund to your original payment method.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
As all of our maps are custom-made and printed to order, they are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless they arrive damaged. This includes:
- Digital maps (delivered as files)
- Printed and framed/unframed maps
- Gift cards and sale items
European Union cooling-off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at storymap@thestorymap.com.
